Keencordia hosted it's first Tea Talk today in the Concordia Greenhouse. The sun was bright and new members soaked up some rays and sipped on tea while learning about the functionalities of Keencordia.
We are very pleased to welcome Tucker, Matthew, Yann, Alex, Jessica, Hazel and Samantha to the group! We talked about the structure of a dialogue, and the importance of discussion as opposed to debate. The structure of dialogue that the group realized today was:
1. Thinking in Context
- Integral vision: Envisioning your place in the bigger picture
- Systems thinking: Thinking about the larger picture
- Presence: Understanding your subjective and objective place within it
2. Asking Questions
- Inquiry: asking questions about the topic
- Conscious Conversation: active listening and understanding
3. Conclusions
- Innovation, creation, new ideas, bridging gaps
- p.s. It is OK not to reach this point in a discussion, sometimes there are too many questions, or the question is the conclusion.
The structure we talked about today is the structure that most of our discussions will take form. We can't wait to get started!
Of course, one of the most integral parts of a Tea Talk is the TEA. Todays tea was Pukka Herbal Tea: Peppermint and Licorice.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone again in two weeks for our next Tea Talk!
Sincerely,
Christine and Lucy
