Keencordia is a platform through which students from all disciplines can gather to share knowledge together in a thought provoking, keen, and constructive way. Keencordians meet every two weeks to discuss materials curated by it's directors. These materials are sourced from all disciplines, and from a variety of media. Keencordia is devoted to providing a multi-, cross-, and inter- disciplinary platform of discussion for students interested in learning more about everything.
Main Objectives:
The group will focus on discussion of important or interesting issues. These conversations are not places to debate topics, but rather ones in which people can build their own knowledge and opinions by sharing their perspectives with others. The atmosphere of group meetings will be one of people hungry for knowledge, tea and snacks. Each meeting will be preceded by optional but highly recommended readings, art pieces, media, etc. (Media) on a certain subject; to initiate conversation and bring everyone the same knowledge base for the next meeting.
Meetings:
Meetings will take place every two weeks and last no more than an hour to be conscious of student workloads. Topics of discussion will be open to suggestions from members of the group, but will be curated by the co-directors. Media will take no more than 15-30 minutes to review for the next meeting. Based on group interest, events such as museum field trips or group speakers will be organized.
